The Making of a Corporate Athlete

Can your body be used for more than carrying your brain from meeting to meeting?

Do you know how leadership shows up in physical presence?

Can you really rewire your brain to overcome self-limiting beliefs and fears?

We’ve all seen the headlines about the negative impact stress has on our bodies and ability to think clearly.  Conflict and stressful situations confronts us daily, and our mental and physical capabilities are pushed to the limit.  At work or play, we all want to perform at our best.  However, many of us don’t understand the critical role the body plays in helping us become resilient, energetic and powerful.

In this ½ day workshop we explore a variety of important topics related to how to maximize and fully leverage your mind and body so that you can be highly effective and successful in reaching your personal and professional goals. Topics include:

  • The critical role that exercise plays in managing mood, improving cognition, memory and focus, based on the latest information in the field of neuroscience
  • When and how much to exercise to achieve maximum performance during high stress situations (board presentations, court appearances, project reviews, etc.)
  • Understand what, when and how to fuel your body for maximum mental and physical performance, in the office, on the road and at home
  • A practical, somatic approach to finding balance and center during periods of conflict and emotion

How to use your body to make more informed, thoughtful decisions and rediscover the part of yourself that is wise, kind and capable of clear and powerful embodied action
